Been a loyal customer since 2012. I use the Lifeproof bike bar mount constantly as im an avid cyclist
Haven't got a new phone in years, fork up the cash for a new iPhone 12 pro, I have it for less than 18hrs and it flew off my bike mount FOUR TIMES. scratched the phone and camera lenses like crazy, lifeproof support initially very fast, explained they cant replace the phone, I get that. Obviously im super pissed, support agreed to replace the case and bike mount free of shipping charges, and then they go ghost for 5 days. ARE YOU KIDDING?? This is the treatment I get? Spend $120 to protect a $1300 phone, and they go complete ghost? at this point I dont know what theyre sending and when, its a new support person who reaches back every time, ive had to explain the situation to them 5 times, its just so frustrating and as far as the no phone service due to covid, HOLY SH** get back on the phones?!? youre a top notch company and you have no phone support due to covid?? lol what is it May? figure it out, if I was as complacent as lifeproof id be broke. But clearly they dont care about the customer so
I have been a customer of Lifeproof for approximately 6 years. During that time when something went wrong with the cases, Lifeproof would send me a replacement even if the phone was a couple years old.
The rubber around the camera loosened (on both cases).
Now, Lifeproofs customer service is saying because of technology my case for my S10 is obsolete!
They did offer me a whopping 15% off the next Lifeproof case when I get a new phone.
That will never happen because I will never buy from this Colorado based company again. I also believe Otterbox is the same company too. Not positive so beware.
These cases are very expensive and I am not happy. Never again will I purchase from either one of these companies.

A worse case I cannot imagine. Granted, my case is years old...BUT...it just sits on my bedside table. I use my phone only to listen to podcasts at night. It stays where it is. But check this out - THIS CASE IS DISINTEGRATING!!! It's hard to imagine this, but I swear it's true. Like it is just falling apart and crumbling like a piece of toast or something. Every time I touch it, the case seems to get more fragile and more of it falls off. Like an ancient ruin or something. Serious P.O.S...I have a feather collection that is more resilient.
If I could rate this a negative I would. I purchased a lifeproof FRE after purchasing the iPhone 11 Pro Max giving up my cheap phone cases in hopes for good results as they state all over their website. The back of my iPhone somehow broke while being INSIDE this case and with even the camera having black plastic over it I never noticed until I took my phone out to clean the case one day. The company refuses to pay for damage on my phone even though every case sent out is supposedly checked to make sure it can survive all this $#*! they say it can. I can understand not wanting to pay for damage on my phone, seeing as though theres no way they can know if this is what happened or not. What I can't understand is how they can say all these cases are tested and yet they refuse to even give me a refund on this $90 case? If it's "drop proof up to 2 meters" and my phone broke INSIDE the case without even falling that far, this product is DEFECTIVE and should 100% be refunded. This company is a multimillion dollar company, I think they can afford to refund $90. Absolute garbage company, garbage customer service.
i would not even give them a 1 star i spoke with steve a supervisor and he was as useless as there warranty. save your money and go get the $15 case from amazon
You’ve ruined the Fre case with the new cover for the charging port. Proud owner of multiple cases over the year, willing to overlook how easily the front film becomes scratched to death because every time I’ve dropped one it’s survived. But the charging point cover is the last straw. Moving on to another case maker now.
LifeProof does not honor their lifetime guarantee as promised. I paid a hefty price for their phone case and when they were not willing to replace the case they refused to refund me the cost of the case. I reported them to the Better Business Bureau and they are looking into it. Never again!

I wish I had read reviews before ordering. I would choose NO STARS if possible! The site sent payment request to Paypal but never processed my order. There is no one to answer the phone and livechat just sends me in circles. Now I have to contact Paypal and my bank to block payment. Garbage company!
LIFEPROOF covers do NOT protect a phone effectively at all. And if you contact customer service they come up with every excuse in the book to avoid any responsibility for their products not living up to their claims.
I've had LifeProof Fré mobile phone cases for years with my iPhones - mainly 5 / 5s / SE series.
Over the past the rubber edges of the cases started to crumble, then disintegrate, and in one case totally split into may parts.
A week or so ago my SE (new last year) fell in its LifeProof Fré case and the result was that all I can see was a load of lines of many colours - I can hear calls, cannot answer any, cannot see who is calling. Result a phone that is dead effectively.
LifeProof say:

So on contacting customer service they avoid any responsibility on whether a phone is protected or not - the opposite to the protection they claim on their website. Not only do they avoid responsibility and not offer any recompense for a phone NOT protected by their case, they also do their utmost to fob off even replacing a case.........
Sub standard customer service for a sub standard product.
My daughter selected the wrong "Pixel 4" and when we tried to exchange it there was no customer support what-so-ever. None. The chat bot sent me back to "contact us", they've closed their phone support, they never responded to "contact us" emails. It was a very expensive mistake to buy from them

I'll be sure to let all my friends and those on social media know that Lifeproof doesn't stand behind their products. Lifeproof still has the case for the SE listed on their website for sale. So saying that the case is no longer available is an out-and-out lie! It's sad that these companies don't have any problem taking your money and saying you have a life time warranty, but when it comes time to back it up they don't care they already got or money. Lifeproof should regardless have someway to remedy this situation. Even if the case in a different color.

Really disappointed with Lifeproof’s customer service. The advertised discounts not applied when purchasing multiple iPhone case & customer service don’t even respond to queries / request to cancel the order. Very poor service - you have lost my future business.

The name Lifeproof implied that it would last forever but it only lasted for 2 1/2 years.
